“My creation methods are heavily based on experimental processes involving material manipulation and color studies. Submerged is a series of my current work that explores abstraction and vibrational color relationships on a large scale unstretched canvas. The dynamic and spontaneous nature of this painting process, as well as the final compositions, lend themselves smoothly to print/pattern and product development, such as footwear, fashion, and accessories. I carry themes of materiality for the fine art, functional, and funky throughout my body of work. International travel is a significant source of inspiration for my work, one that’s taken me to far off fantastical places like Indonesia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and beyond.”
